Lake cottage is fabulous. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful and lovely night skies but so conveniently placed. We used public transport all week, no need for the car. This cottage is in a magical setting with the sun filtering through the trees. The beach is a short walk away through the woods with plenty of shells and seaglass for the treasure hunter! It was a treat to drive around the island and be there so quickly we were able to squeeze in spontaneous visits to the Donkey Sanctuary and the Bembridge windmill. Best visit was the Model Village at Godshill - yes the models are amazing, but the planting is the best part, no surprise they give a discount to members of the RHS....
