The location of the cottage is good with lots of lovely walks round the country park and along the coastal path. It’s also handy for the ferry crossing to Plymouth. The cottage needs updating and definitely new beds which were extremely uncomfortable- particularly in the twin room. The furniture also needs updating. The kitchen utensils, table mats and other equipment also need updating. This was not up to the usual standard of classic cottages. The layout of the cottage is quirky and is bright and airy. With a little investment in updating the facilities I would be happy to recommend this cottage to others....

A very comfortable stay in a superb location for walks, views and general local interest. Our favourite day has to be taking a stunning 90minute ride on the top deck of the no 70 bus that went via the coast road and the Torpoint ferry to Plymouth centre. A short walk took us to the harbour area where we had lunch then came home via the Royal William and Mt Edgcumbe ferry..... (and yes, the bus took bus passes! )...

I really liked the cottage and the cute shops and stable cafe behind the cottage I found Horseshoe Cottage clean, welcoming and homely. An absolutely lovely place to stay.
