Captain's Retreat is a beautiful property in a fantastic location. It's a real home from home, with everything we needed. There is even an excellent range of books and DVDs, and we could have done with a rainy day to make the most of these! Lots of lovely walks from the front door meant we didn't need to use the car every day. Very convenient being across the bridge from the Harbour Light cafe which does excellent snacks, lunches and cream teas. We would definitely like to return one day. ...

Captain's Retreat's location is fantastic, in the middle of everything but set back just enough for privacy. Two separate full size bathrooms on two different floors is a big bonus, as is the parking space right outside. It's full of character, homely and warm, we've just stayed for the fourth year running and will definitely be back next year....
