Lovely house and wonderful location. A great point to start out from and finish at the end if the day. Great walks all around Boscastle and as we stayed in October it was lovely to come back to a warm house when the weather turned. The fish and chip shop has closed now BUT the Cobweb does takeaway and also gluten free so we were ok! Loved the welcome pack and was able to get in touch easily with someone when we had a query. We will return again ....

We loved staying in the cottage, it's a great spot in Boscastle and ideal for walking out to the coastal path. The shelves of books were very well-received and in the periods when the weather wasn't as good we loved sitting in the lounge reading!

All of Captains Retreat was fabulous, very cosy and comfortable. A real place to get away from it all, although we were on a walking weekend , we could have moved in. Would recommend for a real get away. Lovely location and perfect for our Southwest Coast path walking we are completing later this year. Thanks so much to Maggi and her housekeeping team for a great place to stay....
