Dogs.

Unfortunately this beach is being ruined by irresponsible dog owners. There was a time when people were happy with one dog yet it seems that they now need several. I am of the opinion that dogs should be on a lead and not left to run riot on the the beach, frightening children, coming sniffing around kicking sand everywhere whilst people are having a picnic, owners if they can be bothered to bag up the dog dirt should dispose of it the bins provided an not leave it on the beach for the tide to take out, and furthermore owners should be aware that not everyone loves your pooch like you do and remember it is an animal not a child. From this post you may think that I do not like dogs I assure you that I do, it is the irresponsible owner that I dislike.

Newport.

Fantastic places to eat with several nice pubs. Bluestone brewery is definitely worth a visit, the I.P.A. is excellent and the fish and chips at Morawelan Parrog are superb.

Blas.

Had lunch in the rear garden and breakfast at the front. The food was first class and despite being very busy the staff were excellent, will always pay Blas a visit when we are in Newport.

The Old Sailors.

A great place for a drink and a bite to eat after completing the Dinas headland walk. Always found the staff friendly and helpful. Pros. Dogs must be kept on a lead in pub and the garden. Cons. Cannot always depend on the opening hours.

A great place for lunch

We visited the Rose and Crown for lunch, when spending the day in and around Goodwick and Fishguard. A varied menu, excellent food and great staff, we would certainly recommend it.

A traditional pub offering lunch and dinner. Seating is available outside during warmer months and there's an open fire to keep you warm in winter.

A small sandy beach, ideal for families and dog friendly year round. Cliffs on both sides protect the bay from the weather and there are lovely views towards Fishguard harbour.
