Allonby has an impressive five miles of beach of sand and shingle. With views across the Solway Firth, you can also see the Lake District and Scottish Fells on a clear day. Water sports lovers head for this beach along side families looking for a beach day. Dog restrictions may apply at certain times of the year.

Ivegill is a small village which takes its name from the river which flows through the centre, The Ive. This pretty village has a school and church and is a great base for exploring the Lakes.
