Perfectly situated a mere hop, skip and a jump away from the centre of the charming Cornish village of Portscatho and within easy reach of stunning Porthcurnick beach, McKenzie is a delightful three-storey townhouse, perfect for a getaway with friends or a family holiday.

Optimising the sea views from the top floor, the living space is decorated in calming pastel shades to match this seaside idyll. Cosy sofas invite you to relax and the sitting-room has a stunning balcony taking in the views over the village towards Porthcurnick beach and Gull Rock. The separate kitchen/diner has a large dining-table, ideal for sociable holiday meals and the kitchen has all the equipment you'll need to create a holiday meal including the all-important Nespresso coffee machine.

Three stylish bedrooms occupy the first floor, a main bedroom with double bed and en suite shower-room, and two further bedrooms, a small double (accessed from one side only) and twin. There is also a family bathroom on this floor, ideal for a long soak after a busy beach day. The ground floor is home to an additional shower-room, great for washing salty toes and rinsing wetsuits!

Outside, McKenzie has a small, secluded patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee, evening aperitif and everything in between. With parking for one car and additional parking spaces available close by, McKenzie has all you need for the perfect holiday. Welcome to your little piece of heaven.

The coast path is just a stroll away, so walkers are perfectly placed to explore the many secret coves, pretty villages and dramatic vistas within easy reach. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice with so many beautiful beaches to choose from and of course the iconic Hidden Hut opens daily to provide home-made treats in the most stunning setting.

Portscatho village has all you need for a relaxing holiday and the village centre is home to a good choice of shops where you can stock up on provisions. Tatams serves great coffee and freshly baked cakes and the views across the bay are captivating whilst The Boathouse cafe is ideal for treats throughout the day. There are two pubs within walking distance, the welcoming Plume of Feathers can be found in the centre of Portscatho and The Standard with its outdoor wood-fired grills at the top of the hill. If you prefer to make the most of local produce during your holiday Pendower Farm Shop is a short journey away and here you will find a plethora of fresh seafood and home-made goods including bread and dairy products.

A holiday here lends itself to a car-free getaway, but if you do decide to travel further afield there are some fabulous places to visit. The vibrant village of St Mawes is close by with an excellent choice of eateries and independent shops. Head to the picturesque harbour and catch the passenger ferry to Falmouth for a day exploring eclectic Falmouth or take the small shuttle service to Place, the most magical of settings with delightful woodland walks to enjoy. Rent a kayak or paddle board from the harbourside and explore the crystal-clear waters or maybe just enjoy your fish and chips from the paper on the seawall, the perfect holiday pastime.

The mighty domes of the Eden Project are always worthy of a visit, or perhaps head for The Lost Gardens of Heligan and enjoy this blissful restoration project, 30 years in the making which returned the gardens to their former glory.

However you plan to spend your getaway, a holiday at McKenzie will leave you wanting to return again and again.
