The Royal Sandringham Estate borders the village; explore the parkland on foot with your four-legged friends or on two wheels with a variety of bike trails and footpaths to discover off the beaten track and amongst the woodlands, a spectacular sight when the rhododendron blossoms. Youngsters can explore the children's play area, ideal for burning off some energy under a woodland canopy. For a more formal experience explore the Royal Sandringham residence; take a peek into the Royal archives within Sandringham House or explore the 60 acres of Royal gardens.

Closer to home is the village of Wolferton where the Royals would arrive at the picturesque station when visiting their Sandringham residence, lovely woodland walks can be found close by at Dersingham bog, a natural nature reserve perfect for exploring with your four-legged friends.

The village itself has two great pubs, The Feathers is dog-friendly with a fabulous garden and children's play area or enjoy a local speciality of Brancaster mussels at the Coach and Horses, both an easy walk from the cottage. Alternatively take a short drive, or the bus, through the neighbouring villages of Snettisham and Heacham around the coast to the traditional Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, otherwise known as 'sunny Hunny', where a great day's adventure can be enjoyed by all.

Explore the clifftops passing the lighthouse to reach the sandy beaches and RNLI station at Old Hunstanton with the fabulous beach cafe or play amongst the sand dunes and colourful beach huts. Hunstanton offers an abundance of shops and restaurants as well as local bars where you can be entertained with live music, or at the Princess Theatre, with a variety of shows and performances throughout the year. Take a stroll along the promenade to the beach, investigate the rockpools with youngsters, or simply take in the spectacular skies where the sun sets over the sea.
