Horseshoe Cottage opens up all the delights of Dartmoor and surrounding areas. The renowned Dartmoor National Park is only a short drive away, along with the super popular towns of Chagford and Moretonhampstead, with both being only a few minutes away via car, or slightly longer should you wish to meander there on two wheels. Both towns have so much to offer, from numerous village shops, including butchers, bakers, independent delicatessens and numerous eateries and traditional pubs. There really is something to suit all tastes.

When it comes to treating yourself, this is so easy to do as you have the exceptionally popular Ring O' Bells pub under two miles from your doorstep, or perhaps a day out at Bovey Castle Hotel and Spa sounds like a nice treat, again, within such close proximity to Horseshoe Cottage, it would be a shame not to spoil yourself.

Returning to Horseshoe Cottage is always a treat. Sinking into the sumptuous sofas is such a glorious feeling, making evening TV viewing a real pleasure. Then for a restful night's slumber, heading up to the two beautiful bedrooms is such a welcome sight, both rooms offer oodles of space and comfort, with bedroom one being home to a glorious super-king size bed. Conjuring up breakfast, lunch, or any meal is a pleasure too, as the kitchen is fully equipped and offers the chef a super spacious environment to really whip up a feast.

The great news is that Stable Cottage (5446) is just next door, which is another fabulous cottage for two lucky guests. Why not invite extended family or friends to enjoy this magical part of Devon, whilst enjoying their own slice of peace, privacy and tranquility in Stable Cottage.

Beautiful sights and scenes can be enjoyed from all angles in the beautiful grounds, along with a touch of rural life given Greenawell Farm is a working farm - watching the cows and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields is so relaxing. However, if you would like some help planning a more action-packed day, the very friendly owners live within the grounds in the main farmhouse and are more than willing to help you make the most of your holiday in this very special part of the world.

Truly enjoying the delights of this beautiful area is a must. Devon produce can be found in abundance in the neighbouring towns of Moretonhampstead and Chagford; indeed, a holiday in Devon is not complete without a traditional cream tea and this delicious treat is definitely worth sampling!

Dartmoor is home to rare and spectacular sights. Meandering through the gorgeous Dartmoor National Park is a real treat, and with numerous pubs and cafes scattered throughout, each day is different. So, don those walking boots and prepare to soak up the magic of Dartmoor and take in all its rather special inhabitants.

Not forgetting that the sandy beaches of the beautiful south Devon coast are only a short car journey away. A beach day out in Teignmouth or Shaldon may be just the ticket should you desire to walk on the sand. These beautiful coastal towns are under 18 miles away, and most certainly worth venturing over to.

However, a holiday is not all about adventure and action, taking the time to relax and unwind is crucial, and in this peaceful and tranquil spot it's very easy to do! Why not simply pop open a bottle of something tasty and sit back and relax on the patio.
