Situated in the heart of St Mawes, you'll find the beautiful Brooks Cottage gazing out to sea. This welcoming three bedroom waterside getaway is the perfect place to unwind with your favourite people.

On arrival, wander along the sea wall beside crystal-clear waters to find this delightful white-fronted home. Open the door and stroll inside to discover a kitchen/diner with scarlet Aga, waiting to cook heartwarming suppers after days spent outside. The long, spectacular dining-table allows the whole family to sit and eat against the backdrop of a large bay window looking out to sea. After dinner, retire to the cosy sitting-room with walls full of stunning sea-inspired art and relax as you watch a film from the large comfy sofa. You'll also find a handy cloakroom on the ground floor, just off the hallway.

Upstairs, Brooks Cottage has three tastefully decorated bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms, full of wonderful Cornish light. The main bedroom comes with a huge super-king bed - making sure you get the most peaceful night's sleep - and a luxurious en suite shower-room. The whole room has a stunning view of the water and there's a lovely reading chair to while away hours with your nose in a good book looking out over the sea. Bedroom two can be arranged as you wish as a super-king or twin, with each bed facing out to sea - perfect for your morning cup of tea. Tucked away at the back of the house, you'll find bedroom three, a cosy twin room. There's a family bathroom on this floor, with a wonderful wood-panelled bathtub. Pour yourself a glass of wine and relax as you warm up after a refreshing swim at the beach.

Outside, you'll find a cute courtyard garden with French doors opening up to the kitchen. Catch the morning sun over an al fresco breakfast at the large wooden table and listen to sea gulls cawing overhead as they fly in from sea. A magical way to start the day, we think!

There's lots to see with streets full of colourful cob cottages, plenty of foodie pubs, inspiring galleries, shops and delicious restaurants - all within minutes from Brooks Cottage. There are two lovely swimming beaches for you to lie out on a hot day and soak up generous doses of Vitamin D. Wake up and wander down to Tavern beach, just moments away from the cottage, with a swimming pontoon and clear blue waters. Nearby, Summers Beach, a sand and shingle beach, is a great spot to hire a kayak or paddle board and set off to uncover many secret coves and inlets. And if sailing and fishing is more your thing, there's a range of boat trips you can book to explore the coast by water. St Mawes has an interesting nautical history, which you can discover by wandering around St Mawes Castle, standing magnificently at the edge of the bay.

Situated on the Roseland peninsula, looking out over the River Fal and across to Falmouth, St Mawes is great for exploring Cornwall's south coast. Feel the wind on your face as you take the ferry ride over to the bustling town of Falmouth with its eclectic array of shops, restaurants and famous Maritime Museum. Or get your walking boots on and take the coast path to find peace and exquisite scenery around the ancient creekside parish of St Just in Roseland. There's also another ferry that takes you to Place, on the other side of the river. Here, you can follow the coast path around spectacular St Anthony Head, where glorious countryside and sea meet. A walker's paradise.

Further afield, you'll find wonderful nature-inspired adventures at the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, both of which are a short drive away and make for great family friendly activities.
