This is an exceptional bolthole in a farmstead setting, perched high up above the River Exe as it winds through the beautiful hills and woodland between Tiverton and Exeter in leafy, rural Devon. Your views and location are simply second to none. Surrounded by 150 acres of unspoilt countryside and ancient woodland, The Pottery is the perfect all year round retreat. Whether you wish to relax and unwind in the most magical of settings or venture out and explore this fabulous part of Devon, you wish is our command, made easy as you have the popular town of Tiverton around five miles away, and the magical east Devon coastline within a short car journey.

This semi-detached cottage has an open plan ground floor which has been lovingly designed and furnished as a place to truly relax. There is a wood-burning stove (all the wood is provided for you), a deep sofa and comfortable armchair. Upstairs a truly luxurious bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed and a superb en suite shower-room, whilst outside you have a garden bench which provides the ideal place from which to take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

When it comes to enjoying your beautiful location, the owners have made this so easy to do. Firstly, you have a superb, shared summer-house, which is nestled into the hedgerow, the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine in total comfort, whilst feeling at one with nature. The other rather special offering is 'Bunnies Garden'. This magical nature conservation area is home to a vast array of wildlife, from insects to birds and amphibians, to a bee garden and bat wall. The beauty is, this unique area is totally at your disposal, from daily strolls around the garden to enjoying an evening drink at the fire-pit as the sun goes down, this incredible area will leave you in awe.

There is an incredible vision at Pottery Cottage where the owners manage several hundred acres with a great commitment to promoting land and wildlife conservation alongside best practice in farming. From this secluded hilltop setting you are invited to explore the land that spreads out before you. There are large untouched areas of ancient woodland, riverside meadows, and footpaths with panoramic views. There is even a dedicated field sown with meadow flowers to complement 'Bunnies Garden'. Whatever you wish to do during your holiday, you have a gorgeous cottage to return to after a day out exploring - it is a stylish but very welcoming base where every attention to detail has been considered.

If you can tear yourself away from this magical setting, the town of Tiverton is within a very short car journey away and is brimming with history and heritage. From historic houses and castles to several trails and cycle paths at your disposal, there are many ways to enjoy this fabulous town and area, you can even take to the water aboard a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard if you wish.

You are also only within an hour from the heart of Exmoor National Park, a magical moorland stretching over 267 square miles, a day walking and exploring in this beautiful area is a must; most certainly worth the drive.

When you want to venture further afield, there are many local walks, country pubs and picturesque villages to be explored. The city of Exeter is under 30 minutes away and is perfect for the shopaholics of the group. This cathedral city is home to a vast array of shops, eateries, and cultural sites such as Exeter Cathedral, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Northcott Theatre.

Should a day on the beach be just the ticket, the east Devon coast offers you the very best in coastline and beaches. Beaches and seaside towns such as Sidmouth, Exmouth and Branscombe are all within an easy car journey away, offering the perfect day out for all generations.
