This delightfully whimsical thatched barn has been lovingly renovated by the owners with luxury, comfort and cosy living in mind, making a heavenly homestay and ideal couple's retreat…and being only an hour and a half from London is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Upon entering, you are greeted by a stylish cream kitchen, fully equipped with an Aga, a Smeg fridge and top of the range appliances. The central island, with a stunning marble top, doubles up as a breakfast-bar and is the ideal place to enjoy an evening meal and plan the next day's adventures, there is even an optics bar for those who enjoy an evening tipple!

The kitchen leads to a hallway with a convenient space to hang your coats and kick off your boots, and on to a downstairs shower-room, which has been wonderfully finished with quirky and eccentric fittings and benefits from a spacious walk-in rainfall shower… just the most inviting space to freshen after a day exploring.

A central wooden staircase leads you upstairs to the converted loft area where you will find the unconventional and super cosy living space, with sumptuous velvet sofa and matching love seat. This really is the loveliest space to relax over a game of chess, or watch a good movie.

A couple of steps take you to the delightful bedroom area where you can snuggle down in the beautiful brass bed with sumptuous Egyptian cotton bedding. The exposed stonework and twinkling fairy lights certainly make for a magical night's sleep.

Whilst there is no outside space at The Barn By The Ford, there are some lovely walks for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy in the area.

Guests will enjoy the serenity of village life, not to mention the chocolate box villages dotted about in the local area; whilst remaining in close proximity to local amenities and transport links. Whether as a weekend getaway or for those seeking a longer stay, this converted barn is a place to renew, reset and relax.

The Barn By The Ford is within walking distance to an award-winning Lebanese Restaurant and village shop and a couple of miles away from The Cotswold Guy - a popular farm shop/cafe near the neighbouring village of Gagingwell not to mention that The Barn is also within half an hour of Oxford, one and half hours from London and enjoys easy access to road and rail networks.

A unique opportunity to experience the quintessential charm of country living, and only 10 minutes' drive away is the popular Soho Farmhouse Members Club.

There are many interesting places to explore near Middle Barton; take around a 10 minute drive to Lower Heyford and enquire about hiring a dayboat and cruise the Oxford Canal.The magnificent Blenheim Palace is not far and offers both indoor and outdoor experiences. Explore the stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and learn about its rich history.

Wander through the medieval halls and picturesque grounds of Broughton Castle in Banbury.
