KingLocated within a short walk of sandy Summers beach and all that picturesque St Mawes has to offer, this little gem of a property enjoys the most wonderful views from its elevated position. Flooded with light and dressed in a calm colour palette throughout, Little Trehan is a joy to behold with both quality and comfort a priority. Whether a family, a friends group or just the two of you, expect a holiday to remember when you stay at this delightful home-from-home.
Return to base after a day out exploring this fabulous part of Cornwall to freshen up before spending some down time relaxing in the open plan living space, with comfy Neptune sofas at one end and your dining space at the other with doors that lead out to the terrace. Head through the door into the stylish and modern kitchen/diner with ample space to cook up a feast whilst chatting about the highlights of your day or prehaps enjoy a nice hot beverage using the Magimix Nespresso coffee machine (remember to bring your own pods).
Choose from one of three lovely bedrooms; on the ground floor spacious bedroom one has a flexible 'zip and link' bed offering either super-king or twin beds, whilst bedroom two also has a 'zip and link' bed offering the choice of two small single beds (2'6") or a king-size double. On the first floor is bedroom three with a king-size double bed with sea views, just take your pick! With a second shower-room on the first floor, Little Trehan is perfect for two friends or couples holidaying together as each has their own privacy.
Another highlight of this lovely house are the surrounding gardens, there's room to sit and dine outside, and space to relax and enjoy the views. Steps take you down to the lower garden lawn level - remember to bring your badminton racquets and see just how competitive you all are!
There is private parking for three cars when parked in tandem, however the driveway is narrow and there is parking on the road if preferred.
The idyllic fishing village of St Mawes has a vibrant harbour with a great selection of cafes and waterside restaurants. Summers Beach is a short stroll away where families will enjoy beach days building sandcastles, crabbing in the rockpools or swimming out to the swimming platform. Watersports can be found in abundance; why not book a sailing lesson, hire a paddle board or kayak, and enjoy exploring the picturesque turquoise creeks or book a fishing trip from the harbour and catch your supper - there is so much to choose from.
If you fancy a day out why not take the passenger ferry which runs from the harbour across the bay to the maritime town of Falmouth where you can spend hours exploring the local artisan shops and galleries or you could visit the Maritime Museum, ferries also run to the National Trust's Trelissick Gardens. A smaller ferry runs to Place Manor in the summer months so why not pack up a picnic and head out around St Anthony headland to Towan beach, reward yourself at the end of your walk with a local ice cream or a delicious home-made cake at the beach cafe before heading back.
Should you wish to travel a little further then Portscatho is a short journey away and home to beautiful beaches and the renowned Hidden Hut where guests sit side by side on wooden benches and enjoy the freshest of local produce all cooked on outdoor ovens and grills. Further afield The Eden Project, with its mighty biomes, is well worth a visit, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan, lost in time since WWI and now returned to their former glory, are also worthy of a day out, children will particularly love the outdoor play meadow.
However you plan to spend your time, Little Trehan is bound to keep you coming back for more.
