TwinWith far reaching views towards Portscatho beach and harbour, Seagrass is a delightful apartment, perfectly situated close to the village centre and an ideal base for a romantic retreat, solo adventure or for a family looking for a Cornish getaway.
The charming, unspoilt village of Portscatho has a good selection of eateries and shops so you may choose to have a car-free holiday here. With the coast path quite literally on the doorstep and the pretty beach a mere stone's throw away, you have found the perfect base for your holiday.
Seagrass is a ground floor apartment with an open plan living-room, cleverly styled to make the most of the space. The sitting-area has a large window for gazing out to sea whatever the weather, and a comfy sofa for evenings in watching a movie on the Smart TV. The dining-table is tucked away in a corner, ideal for sociable dining and the beautifully crafted kitchen has all the equipment you'll need to cook a holiday meal. There are two bedrooms, a pretty double room with access to the rear courtyard (perfect for morning coffee) and a twin bedroom which is suitable for children. The family shower-room has a shower for rinsing salty toes.
Outside to the front elevation there is seating for two and this is a gorgeous spot for taking in the panoramic sea views from dawn until dusk. To the rear there is a secure private courtyard with additional seating for al fresco dining.
Portscatho is a pretty village with both charm and character. Visit the local village store or the pub for a bite to eat, pick up fresh pastried and a warm cuppa from the coffee shop that enjoys wonderful sea vistas. The Boathouse is worth a visit for their home-cooked fresh food during the summer season and enjoy pizza a the Tavola Italian bar or take it home to Seagrass and enjoy.
Sheltered shallow waters and rockpools are just waiting to be explored at the local beaches and coves, hire a kayak or paddle board and enjoy this beautiful coastline from the water, there are miles of shoreline to explore. Bring your walking shoes and head along the coast path which runs right through the village giving walkers easy access in either direction. Porthcurnick beach is worth a visit as is the Hidden Hut, one of the area's best kept secrets, just make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
The desirable village of St Mawes is only a short drive away, here you will find a wide selection of places ot eat and drink alongside lovely local shops to explore. Take away fish and chips or an evening of fine dining, whatever your fancy, you can find it locally alongside fresh local produce to take home and cook at your leisure. Alternativley, perhaps catch the seasonal passenger ferry to the maritime town of Falmouth with an aray of local shops and a renowned museum. If you fancy going slightly further afield, the Eden Project makes for an intriguing day out or perhaps The Lost Gardens of Heligan, lost in time since WWI. Whereever you decide to visit, Seagrass makes for the perfect Cornish base.
