Welcome to Churchtown Farmhouse, a very special retreat nestled in the heart of the idyllic village of Gwithian. If you're looking for just the place to switch off and sink into laid-back Cornish life, just a leisurely stroll to miles of golden sands and seemingly endless seas, this is the perfect spot…

Sleeping ten, this wonderful getaway is a fabulous choice for an unforgettable holiday for a family or a group of friends. Step inside to discover the spacious and stylish kitchen, ideal for rustling up a feast, brewing your morning coffee whilst you perch at the breakfast-bar and sociable evenings relaxing whilst your designated chef prepares dinner. From there, the dining-room is made for special suppers, where you can enjoy meals and chat about tomorrow's plans. There are two fabulous sitting-rooms to relax in, one with colourful, comfortable sofas and the other with a lovely wood-burner effect electric stove and squishy sofas and armchairs for sinking into after a day by the sea.

The five bedrooms are simply divine. The first is a lovely king room, bedrooms two, three and four are all gorgeous rooms which can be made up as a super-king double or twins; bedroom three has a sweet seating-area and bedrooms one and four have captivating countryside views and en suite shower-rooms. Bedroom five has cute bunk-beds, which the children will love, and lovely views of the church. The family bathroom is quite a dream, with an inviting roll-top bath - sure to relax you at the end of the day.

Outside, you can spend hours taking in the countryside views, enjoying a tipple in the Cornish sunshine or playing garden games on the spacious lawn. There's plenty of parking here too, as well as an electric car charging point (please pay the owners on site to use this facility).

There is a campsite just up the lane from Churchtown Farmhouse, with a little shop selling milk, bread, fruit, vegetables, honey some bakery items and Cornish goodies - ideal for packing lunches before heading down to the beach for the day.

The village of Gwithian is a really special spot. With a fabulous pub, The Red River Inn, and a tapas bar, Los Establos, along with a couple of lovely beach cafes within easy reach, there are plenty of fantastic eateries to discover. Wander to Godrevy or Gwithian beach to discover the three miles of golden sands; ideal for beach days, surfing, a dip in the sea, picnics and barbecues as the sun goes down. The coast path in this area is simply magical, and you can easily spend a day discovering hidden coves and the most breathtaking views. You're likely to spot seals, and perhaps a dolphin too! If you're a nature-enthusiast, there's plenty of other wildlife to keep an eye out for in the area, including butterflies, Shetland ponies and various bird species.

St Ives is nearby and well worth a visit for the day. You can catch the train into town, which offers incredible views of the bay and there is also a bus service in the summer months to St Ives too. There you will find numerous eateries, independent shops, and glorious beaches to explore - you certainly won't get bored here. A little further afield, you'll find the enchanting fishing village of Mousehole, where you'll while away a leisurely day wandering around the cobbled streets, discovering the galleries and boutique shops, and stopping for a cream tea or dinner in one of the fabulous cafes, pubs and restaurants.

This corner of Cornwall is unforgettable, and you're sure to return home with wonderful holiday memories.
