Portscatho is a pretty Cornish harbourside village, with a choice of breathtaking golden sandy beaches surrounded by the lush green countryside of the Roseland peninsula. Gull Rock View sits in an enviable tranquil location just a short stroll away from the pretty harbour, cafes and galleries, the perfect setting for a family holiday or friends looking for a West Country getaway.

Gull Rock View is a detached single-storey home, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and surrounded by green lawns and established shrubs to the front and rear. The front door opens into the hall which leads to the light and bright living space, recently refurbished and creatively furnished. The sitting-area has a gorgeous sofa and armchairs with a cosy corner set aside for a table and chair, the ideal spot to catch up if work calls. Dual-aspect windows give views over the rooftops to the sea, and of course as you would expect, Gull Rock sitting majestically out in Gerrans Bay!

Gather everyone around the dining-table, opposite the kitchen, to chat about the day ahead, or perhaps perch on a kitchen stool and supervise the chef! Curgurrell Farm Shop nearby sells the freshest of Cornish produce so you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to creating a holiday meal to remember. Down the hallway two pretty bedrooms await, a double room with king-size bed and sea views to the front and a twin bedroom overlooking the garden to the rear. The family shower-room completes downstairs and conveniently the WC and wash-basin are adjacent. A handy utility-room with washing machine leads out into the back garden where a small flight of steps take you to a large lawned area surrounded by trees and shrubs. This gorgeous tranquil space catches the sun's rays all day long so you can sit here from dawn until dusk. A picnic bench and barbecue invite you to dine al fresco, or perhaps you'd prefer to sit on the garden bench and relax with a good book.

However, you plan to spend your time at Gull Rock View, this perfect holiday bolthole will always give you a warm welcome.

Portscatho is a quintessentially charming Cornish village with a pretty harbour and a selection of cafes, restaurants and galleries just a short stroll away from your front door. Porthcurnick Beach is also close by and a visit to The Hidden Hut where you sit side by side on wooden benches enjoying the freshest of Cornish fare should not be missed. The coast path can be found just a five minute stroll away and walkers will love the miles of gorgeous coastline, hidden coves and sandy beaches waiting to be discovered. St Just in Roseland is home to the prettiest of churches, set in quiet seclusion on the banks of the estuary and a visit here should definitely include a cream tea at Miss V's tea rooms (jam first of course!).

The bustling village of St Mawes is a short car journey away and a great place for eating out, whether in one of several fine dining establishments or fish and chips out of the paper sitting on the sea wall watching boats sail by. Water sports enthusiasts can kayak to secret coves and secluded beaches from here and paddle boarders will be at home in the calm clear waters. Take the passenger ferry across the bay to the eclectic town of Falmouth, steeped in maritime history and bursting with vibrant shops and galleries. Further afield the mighty biomes of the Eden Project are worth a visit or perhaps The Lost Gardens of Heligan, lost in time since WW1 and discovered 30 years ago they have been painstakingly returned to their former glory and offer visitors an escape into sub-tropical paradise.

A holiday at Gull Rock View will be one you will remember forever.
