Relax on chillier evenings in the glow of the roaring wood-burner in the adjacent sitting-room on the big, comfy sofas. The refectory table, off the sitting-room, provides a useful extra table, ideal for board games, laptops or leisurely holiday suppers.
The first of the bedrooms, a super-king room, is located on the ground floor. Climb the stairs to the remaining six well-presented bedrooms on the first floor. Children will love gazing out to sea from the bunk-room, which has a twin room next door. Along the hallway is an elegant family bathroom and en suite double room.
The opulent principal bedroom is a sheer joy. Imagine taking a sunny breakfast on the balcony, or on the patio below, the sea twinkling in the sun or a dreamy sundowner under the stars at the end of the day. The luxurious en suite, with roll-top bath is calling. Spoil yourself with bubbles in the bath after a day exploring the magnificent coastal path. Dual access doors from this en suite bathroom lead to the twin room.
Let the children play in the fresh air in the large enclosed rear garden, whilst the adults gather around the patio table planning the host of excursions.
Soak up the spectacular sea views towards Tenby town, Caldey Island and The Gower. Penally has a village pub, the award winning Penally Abbey hotel for drinks or meals and a local amenities at the end of the road. There is a train station in Penally which takes you into Tenby in just three mins or an alternatively a lovely half hour beach walk into town.
There is direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with stunning views of Caldey Island right from the doorstep. The area is a walker's paradise, within a short drive of some of the world's most beautiful and wild beaches along the south Pembrokeshire coastline. Why not pack a picnic and spend the day on one of the many beaches in the area or explore the spectacular coastal path?
You'll be spoilt for choice for fun things to do in the area. The many beaches are breathtakingly beautiful.
Tenby North Beach, with golden sands, rock pools and the imposing Goskar Rock is sandwiched between the harbour beach and the north cliffs. Castle Beach, located between Castle Hill and East Cliff cove, is worth a visit and a delicious ice-cream from the beach vendor.
South Beach with over a mile of golden sands, stretches from St Catherine's Island to Penally Beach onto Giltar Point. The beach is surrounded by sand dunes and faces Caldey Island, which is cradled within the magnificent South Pembrokeshire coastline, where the Cistercian monks of Caldey continue a tradition which began in Celtic times.
From May to October the boats to the island run from Tenby Harbour. Explore the mystical island, enjoy lunch in the cafe and choose a souvenir of a memorable day in the island shop - do try the handcrafted chocolate the monks make. Choose a boat trip from Tenby Harbour, kayaking, cycling, walking or family days out at Heatherton, Folly Farm, Oakwood and the Dinosaur Park.
