TwinSet in the pretty coastal hamlet of Portwrinkle, a mere hop and a skip to the water's edge and with sea vistas to delight, Grenville is the perfect escape for those who want to discover this hidden gem on the stunning south Cornish coast.
This traditional, end terrace, coastguard's cottage is ideal for families and couples alike and any four-legged friends who are lucky enough to be invited along. Spend your days rambling along the coastal footpaths, trying your hand at paddle boarding and kayaking, building sandcastles on the beach and dipping your toes in the water - this is beach life at its very best!
The sea views are simply stunning and best enjoyed from the south-facing garden and sunny terrace, dining al fresco or lounging in the hot tub. Cosy and traditional interiors await, with the dining-table enjoying pride of place at the front of the cottage, taking full advantage of the view and the toasty wood-burner in the sitting-room, is a welcome sight on those out-of-season breaks. Younger members of the party will love the bunk bedroom, which is on the ground floor next to the family bathroom, and the other two bedrooms are on the first floor, with ocean views to delight those snuggled up in the double bedroom.
For holiday meals the little cottage kitchen has all you need, and you can stock up on everyday provisions at the community shop but as the beach cafe and village pub are within walking distance you can easily dine out and enjoy some good old Cornish hospitality. For further relaxation and an extra treat, guests have use of a shared spa with sauna and steam room, located in the hamlet at Guillemot Terrace.
If golf is your game the local links course will delight and for garden enthusiasts, the gardens and houses at Mount Edgcumbe and Port Eliot are a must. The Canteen at Maker is a delight and serves up fabulous meals with incredible views overlooking the pretty twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and out to sea.
Head down the coast to spend the day at the picturesque fishing town of Looe and the charming village of Polperro or for a city fix cross the Tamar to the maritime city of Plymouth.
