Set in picturesque Bembridge Harbour with far reaching views out to the Solent, Oystercatcher is a luxurious houseboat, beautifully furnished and just waiting to welcome you on board. As the tide ebbs and flows you can watch the ever-changing vista, luxuriate in the peace and quiet or perhaps feed the regal swans who regularly swim in the harbour. With the delights of Bembridge village a short walk away and an astonishing five miles of beautiful beach to discover just around the corner, your holiday on the Isle of Wight will be made in heaven here!

From the moment you arrive you will be truly captivated. A private gated entrance takes you into a pretty gravelled garden area. The houseboat can be accessed over a ramp which can change level depending on the tide. This leads you to the blue porthole door and the open plan upper floor living area, which beckons you over the threshold. Decorated in beautiful, muted pastel shades, the colours marry perfectly with the colours of the sea outside, giving a nod to the creative talents of the owners.

The super slick kitchen has everything you need close at hand and the fabulous dining-table invites everyone to sit and chat about the day ahead. Perhaps you would rather sink into one of the super comfy sofas where you can warm your toes by the wood-burner - this really is a houseboat for all seasons. If you can tear yourself away from the super contemporary interior, the outside space is glorious! Morning coffee, al fresco lunch or dinner, you will want to spend every waking moment drinking in the fabulous views from here.

As the tide ebbs and flows you may be aware of a gentle 'settling in' noise for about 45 minutes. This will occur four times over 24 hours at low tide and high tide. The noise is very subtle, and many won't notice it at all, but if you do, please don't worry, it's just a lovely reminder of your unique holiday on the water. Houseboats are moored all along the harbour's edge and make for delightful viewing.

From the entrance area, steps lead down to the three bedrooms, all with luxury linens and beautifully decorated. The main bedroom has a fabulous en suite whilst the two twin rooms share the family bathroom. Listen to the ocean whilst you fall asleep, how blissful! A further private pontoon area can be accessed down steps from the entrance where kayaks can be launched at high tide.

This simply fabulous houseboat is the perfect holiday home for families looking for something a bit special, or for a group of friends to enjoy a luxury break. Oystercatcher really is the perfect place for a unique getaway.

Bembridge village is a short stroll away and has everything you will need on holiday. With a collection of shops including a traditional bakery and fishmonger, you may never need to use the car! Bembridge is also home to the island famous Woodfords Butchers and locals travel for miles to buy their meat here. If the chef fancies a night off there are plenty of options when it comes to dining out including several pubs serving hearty meals, restaurants and takeaways. Bembridge has the only remaining windmill on the island and no visit would be complete without a trip here. The iconic lifeboat station is much photographed and hard to miss if you spend time discovering the miles of clean, sandy beaches.

For walkers, the island has a myriad of footpaths to follow, all beautifully maintained and if you are lucky you may even spot one of the native red squirrels who thrive on the island. A little further afield the more well-known attractions such as the Needles and Osborne House await, there really is something for everyone here.

However you plan to spend your holiday time, Oystercatcher will be a place you will hope to return to year after year.
