KingWow! This beautifully appointed former boatshed is stunning, with reverse level living making the most of the wonderful views and, of course, the sunsets.
Set in a secluded spot at the end of a private lane surrounded by fields and with far reaching views to the sea, this gorgeous getaway is perfect for a relaxing break as it is set apart from the owners' cottage, while they are close enough to provide advice on local cafes, restaurants and other amenities (kayak/SUP hire, surfing, boat trips to name but a few).
Cross your private south-facing terrace and enter the kitchen/dining-area. The bedroom is also on this ground floor level; accessed via a fantastic industrial sliding door, made with original Georgian timbers, and ta-dah here's your comfortable king-size bed. Slip in between the luxury cotton sheets and…sweet dreams… The shower-room on the ground floor is equally as fabulous, with a double walk-in shower and unique Scandinavian towel rail and stone wash-basin.
Nordic style is synonymous to The Boatshed, every thought has gone into making this abode unique and styled with flair. The sitting-room on the first floor has a floor to ceiling, west-facing window; the sunsets are stunning and with a fabulous contemporary fire you can snuggle up in the warmth. No curtains are necessary in this first floor room as you are not overlooked and the light floods in. Take in the lovely views, there's even a distant sea view towards Prussia Cove and on a clear day Mount's Bay too. At night enjoy the clear west Cornwall skies and occasionally the Milky Way.
Set within the grounds of the owners' home, close to the coast, The Boatshed is perfect for guests looking to explore the South West Coast Path or bathers who prefer quiet coves for swimming. Leave your car as there is a footpath from your doorstep to Kenneggy Cove, if you head east you will reach Praa Sands and, further on, Rinsey. Head west and you will pass Prussia Cove; if you fancy a good stomp, carry on past Cudden Point to Marazion and St Michael's Mount.
Outside, your private terrace has a charcoal barbecue (charcoal and fire starters provided) and comfortable seating. Pour a glass of wine, light the barbecue and relax.
Situated close to many of the best local beaches, ideal for surfing or exploring the coast on a paddle board (which can be hired from the local beach). Praa Sands is only a mile down the road and Perranuthnoe is just two and a half miles away, with cosy beach cafes where you can enjoy stunning sea views.
Only ten miles away are the bustling town of St Ives and the National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) of the Lizard peninsula where you can explore Kynance Cove (National Trust), Poldark filming locations and Lizard point - the most southerly place in Britain.
After a day out, you may like to eat out and there are several pubs nearby, the closest being just 300 yards from the end of the lane which leads to your retreat.
Tempted? I would be…
