Zip and linkThis delightful, stylish cottage is in the heart of the friendly quintessential Cornish village of St Agnes. Beautifully renovated and lovingly furnished and equipped, this is a charming little terraced cottage and an ideal getaway for a small family or couple simply wanting that extra bit of space.
The interior of the cottage is really quaint. The comfortable sitting-room is furnished with two sofas; a three seater and a two seater. There is also a dining-area leading into the kitchen that looks out over the rear patio-area, and is very well-equipped to cater for all your holiday needs – whether it's cooking a hearty breakfast before you head off for the day or a cosy supper after a day out building sandcastles and eating ice creams.
Leading off from the kitchen you have a small utility cupboard and family bathroom. Cottage stairs take you up to the first floor, where you will find the most beautiful main bedroom and pretty twin bedroom (which can be converted into a super-king upon request).
From the main bedroom you can see the majestic tin mine buildings dotting the landscape, a reminder of the area's tin mining past. Outside, the patio-area provides the ideal spot to enjoy the peace and quiet of this charming village and perhaps an al fresco meal?
St Agnes has everything you could possibly need with shops, galleries, cafes, bistros and bars. Rock Samphire is centrally located (just off the road) of this popular village that is bustling and busy during the summer months and laid back and relaxed during the quieter wintertime. The coastline, cliffs and beaches around the village are a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site with breathtaking views from the coastal footpaths, perfect for walking with your four-legged companion who is most welcome here!
There are wonderful sandy beaches at Trevaunance Cove and nearby Chapel Porth and Porthtowan, which are all lifeguarded from Easter to October and great for families and surfers.
For gardening enthusiasts or those who are curious as to how the cottage came about its unusual name, the owners love walking and exploring the Cornish coastline. They discovered Rock Samphire (a lovely white flowered plant) whilst out walking the coastal path near St Agnes one winters day and fell in love with the plant and name, and the rest (as they say) is history!
For those wishing to explore further afield, the Eden Project, the popular seaside resort of St Ives, the shopping city of Truro and the maritime town of Falmouth all make an easy day excursion and are just a short drive away.
Rock Samphire really is a super cottage and is ideal for families or couples wanting a seaside break where beaches and surf are only a short distance away.
