Zip and linkSet in a plum elevated position, in the pretty village of Portwrinkle, this stylish retreat invites you to immerse yourself in the very best of luxury coastal living. Aptly named, with the most breathtaking seascapes that stretch for miles out across Whitsand Bay and coastal chic interiors to match, this wonderful holiday haven is the perfect beachside getaway for families and friends alike.
Take the steps (there are 41 in total) to the front door and feel the stresses and strains of everyday life disappear, as you marvel at the exceptional views from the stunning open plan living space with its floor to ceiling windows that open up to the outdoor terrace; perfect for lounging in the sun or al fresco dining. Wooden floors, comfy seating, under-floor heating and soft lighting make it super-cosy in the winter months so don't just save it for the summer! Add to this solar panels and an air-source heat pump and you are doing your bit for the environment as well.
Rustling up a feast or two in the fabulous kitchen will be a delight, all served up on the industrial-style table perfectly set with that magical sea view as its backdrop - complete and utter bliss!
With all that sea air it won't take you long to nod off to sleep in the gorgeous bedrooms, one with a super stylish en suite shower-room and in the family bathroom the luxury double-ended bath complete with bath pillows begs you to indulge in a leisurely holiday soak.
Portwrinkle is situated on a magical and unspoilt stretch of coastline. The beach is the shortest of strolls down the hill and once you have finished having fun in the rock pools, splashing in the water and building sandcastles in the sand, there are miles of coastal footpath waiting to be discovered.
The Whitsand Bay Golf Course is the shortest of 'putts' away and after all that exercise you can refuel at the beach cafe or the Finnygook Inn, a 15 minute jaunt up the hill (it's downhill on the way back!) where you will also find a small community shop to stock up on those necessary provisions.
Venture a little further along the coast where the pretty twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are waiting to greet you and a trip to Mount Edgcumbe to explore the grounds, gardens and historic house will delight young and old alike.
Wherever your day takes you, we are sure that once you have discovered this sparkling gem of a holiday home you will be smitten and are sure to return time and time again.
