KingStep on board this simply stunning houseboat situated in the picturesque Bembridge harbour, just a short walk from Bembridge village. The beautiful bright yellow door opens to a vast open plan space which incorporates the whole ground floor of Fortune. The modern kitchen with a separate island divides the space between the dining and living areas, with spectacular views across the harbour. Light floods in from all angles with the specially designed windows and the double doors opening out to the rear decking. Outdoor seating means you can breakfast, lunch and dine in this idyllic setting and watch the harbour activity, even perhaps the odd swan.
The furnishings are sumptuous and all lovingly pieced together by the owners. Cosy up on the sofa in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the lights of the harbour dance across the water whilst you plan your next day's adventures. A wonderfully large dining-table offers plenty of space to enjoy long drawn out suppers, well why not, you are on holiday after all!
A staircase leads down to the lower deck where all four bedrooms lead off from the main corridor. All with gorgeous upholstered headboards. The enormous main bedroom in the bow of the boat has a super-king sized bed and an equally large en suite with bath and separate shower cubicle. The second bedroom, also a super-king and the twin bedroom have shared access to a shower-room. The fourth bedroom has a king size bed and has an en suite bathroom. The porthole windows have specially made blinds ensuring a good night’s sleep aboard this floating haven.
Bembridge village is just a twenty minute walk from the harbour, where you will find everything you could possibly need for your holiday provisions. There are several cafes, a bakery, fishmonger, butcher and farm shop. With a great number of stunning beaches to choose from, some with resident beach cafes, Bembridge is a superb holiday destination. There is also a good choice of family-friendly pubs in the village to sample, The Pilot Boat Inn is the closest to Fortune, just a ten minute walk away. The Village Inn is situated in the centre of Bembridge and The Crab and Lobster has one of the best outdoor seating areas positioned high above the sea level, with a spectacular sea view. The rest of the Island is easy to explore from your harbour location and there is plenty to see and do all year around. There is unallocated private parking for two cars in a car park just a short walk along the road to Fortune.
