KingTucked out of sight yet right in the heart of Seaview, Buckland House is a stunning home, beautifully renovated by the owners and just a stone's throw from the beach and local village shops and eateries.
Step through the impressive front door into this spacious home and your holiday begins. Spend quality time with family or friends in the huge sitting-room, relaxing on one of three comfy sofas; watch a movie, read a book or simply chat about the day ahead. For those looking for a bit more action, head into the games-room where you will find a pool table, table-tennis and darts, so why not get comfy on the sofa and let the competitions begin!
Doors lead out from the sitting-room to a large patio-area, with outdoor seating to the front of the house; a perfect and sheltered spot for lazy afternoons with a good book, after a morning exploring the local beaches.
The first floor double bedroom with king-size bed is accessed from a staircase in the sitting-room; it's spacious and light with the added luxury of an en suite bathroom. Enjoy the sea glimpses over the rooftops and across to the Solent. Back downstairs and across the hallway is bedroom one, slip under the sheets into your super-king bed for a restful night.
The kitchen/dining-room is a light-filled, sociable space, ideal for spending time over a good meal whilst planning your next adventures. The kitchen itself is well-equipped for all of your culinary needs and with a large fridge/freezer, there is plenty of space for those holiday treats. A door in the corner of the room leads into the third and fourth linked bedrooms, (you access the twin bedroom through the bunk-room), this space is ideal for younger members of the party. There is also an additional family shower-room on the ground floor.
With everything literally on your doorstep, you couldn't be better placed. The kids can enjoy the freedom of walking to the local community shop for the morning croissants or the delicatessen for an afternoon ice cream. If you don't fancy cooking, then head out to the local Seaview Hotel for dinner or maybe a takeaway from the Indian restaurant, these and the local pub are a short walk away and come highly recommended. The Seaview Hotel and The Old Fort are both family-friendly and serve a great range of locally-sourced seafood, along with other Island produce. Both establishments have outdoor seating with sea views, you can spend many a lazy day in Seaview before returning for an afternoon of games and perhaps challenging the kids to a game of pool!
If you are a party of eight, you could also book Buckland Cabin (4853) next door, the perfect bolthole for two. The Island has so much to offer all year round and Buckland House is the perfect holiday home to return to, time and time again.
