Somerset's Quantock Hills – a nine and a half thousand acre Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – rise up just behind the farm setting for this beautifully crafted, bespoke Shepherd's Hut. In front, the valley view stretches across the fields, across the Bristol Channel and as far as south Wales in the distance.

Set in its own enclosed paddock with a private hot tub on the decking beside the hut and even your own spacious purpose-built kennel for your four-legged friend to dry off before they can join you inside, Lamb's Tale Shepherd's Hut takes glamping to its luxurious extreme!

There is a king-size bed with deep memory foam mattress, a wood-burning stove, two hob cooker, full-size fridge, Belfast sink and a shower-room with plenty of hot water and a flushing WC! This working farm is on the edge of the tiny tranquil hamlet of Plainsfield, halfway between Taunton and Bridgwater.

The Quantock Hills are a treasure of woodland and open moorland, of ancient pathways to explore and wildlife to see in their wonderful natural habitats. There is a track from the farm up into the hills, which the more energetic amongst us tackle on mountain bikes – if you want to bring yours, there is plenty of safe space here for them. Go off for an adventure and come back for an evening soak under the stars in the hot tub - bliss!

This part of Somerset has a special stretch of coastline too – its own Jurassic Coast at Kilve four miles away, with striking rock formations and sea-smoothed pebbles and further along the coastline at Blue Anchor near Minehead, there are long stretches of sandy beach. A stone's throw inland from Blue Anchor is Dunster, a medieval town whose little winding streets are dominated by a National Trust castle and just beyond you will find the wilds of Exmoor National Park which faces the Quantock Hills across the Vale of Taunton.

Also located at this farmstead is the delightful Duck's Puddle Shepherd's Hut (4026). You will also find a quirky wagon and a Scandinavian style lodge. Each is very private and independent from the other.
