This gorgeous Georgian double-fronted village house is set in the heart of the pretty fishing village of Portscatho with the beach, harbour, shops and galleries all within five minutes’ walk. Beautifully updated but retaining many original features, Hillside House offers all the luxuries of the 21st Century combined with the elegance of a traditional house.

On the ground floor are two sitting-rooms, a fabulous kitchen and a living/dining-room where French doors open out to a rear patio. Upstairs, six spacious bedrooms – all en suite – offer ample accommodation for large family gatherings or groups of friends holidaying together. The house also has parking for three cars. Set back from the road with a spacious patio enclosed by mature shrubs for privacy, this is the perfect spot for outdoor meals and drinks in the sun.

Hillside House is simply lovely, with plenty of space for large groups to spread out. The entrance porch leads into the hall with sitting-rooms leading off on either side. One has an ornamental wood-burner with comfortable sofas and window seat looking out over the front patio. Children will delight in the other sitting-room which has been thoughtfully kitted out for families with an excellent selection of games, a children's playmat and miniature table and chairs; there is even a tepee for little ones to enjoy.

The hub of the house is the kitchen where blue painted kitchen units, quartz work surfaces, two ovens and two dishwashers, and an American-style fridge/freezer provides everything necessary for catering for big groups. The kitchen leads through to a spacious living/dining-room where there is a big wooden dining-table and a sitting-area with sofas and a large TV, plus doors out to the enclosed patio. A separate utility-room houses a washing machine, tumble-drier, wine fridge and storage for body boards and wetsuits. A useful ground floor shower-room augments the six bath and shower rooms that are en suite to the lovely bedrooms upstairs.
