The flagstones throughout the ground floor have under-floor heating and the French windows from the sitting-room to the wide terrace can be flung open to celebrate the fabulous panoramic view and you have full use of a beautiful meadow that stretches out before you.

From the design of the kitchen, the furniture and fittings, through to the sumptuous bed linens in the spacious first floor bedrooms, everything speaks of the love and care that has gone into this property – a perfect balance of character and contemporary style.

The cottage has an unspoilt view of rolling countryside stretching out in front of it and is in a private setting with the friendly owner's farmhouse next door on the edge of the village of Exbourne. This location is ideal for setting off to explore Dartmoor National Park or for enjoying the wide open spaces of north Devon's exhilarating sandy beaches, whatever the time of year.

Your four-legged friends will love these outings and the outside space at the cottage is such a bonus too you will also bump into the owner and his dogs whilst enjoying the morning meadow walk. The village has a friendly CAMRA pub just a short five minute stroll along the lane, and there is also a great community-run village shop and cafe perfect for the lunch time pasty or the morning paper.

Okehampton is the nearest town for supplies, with a Waitrose supermarket, but in this lovely rural area you will come across some wonderful farm-gate stalls for the freshest of locally produced goodies.
