Bunk-bedsMake your way to the wonderfully tranquil award-winning forest and countryside, where you will find Grascott House; a magical getaway with more than 200 almost uninhabited acres to explore, including woodland, wildflower meadows and three small lakes. Approached by a mile long lane, this welcoming detached house offers a truly rural idyll.
The delightful kitchen/dining-room brings generations together; the designated chefs can create delicious feasts, children can access the exciting shared games-room, or you can simply sit back and snuggle up by the wood-burner. On warmer days, throw open the double doors and let the sunshine flood in, or head out to the pretty garden and soak up the sun's rays. Next door, the sitting-room is a lovely, cosy room with an open fire - bliss! You'll also find a handy utility-room which leads out to the garden.
There are five wonderful bedrooms; bedroom one and two are super-king rooms, bedroom three and four are twin rooms, and bedroom five has cute bunk-beds, which the children will love! The family bathroom is on this floor, with a lovely bath. We've no doubt Grascott House will provide many happy holidays and is sure to become a family favourite.
The farmhouse also has a private wing, which is an annexe, used infrequently by the owner.
Also on site are Grascott Cottage (1241), Grenlecotte Cottage (1604), and Forest View (4195)
Once the peace and quiet have worked their magic and one and all have explored the quaint towns and villages close by, you might be ready to discover what's further afield. The stunning coastlines of both Devon and Cornwall are an easy drive from Grascott House, where you will discover the golden sand beaches of Woolacombe, Westward Ho!, Crackington Haven and Croyde and the pretty villages of Clovelly and Appledore. If you fancy an afternoon of cycling or a leisurely walk, The Tarka Trail and Ash Moor Nature Reserve are both nearby. Dartmoor makes for a fantastic place for a day out too, with its beautiful moorland and picturesque towns and villages.
