The Loft is a lovely place to stay. The Fat Mackerel (next door) is great for coffee and breakfast, and the Paris Hotel is good for eating at night. Add to this Roskilly's ice cream at Archie's Loft (closed out of season), and the Lifeboat Restaurant (which, sadly, is also closed until Easter) and your holiday is guaranteed to be fantastic. We don't spend our entire holiday eating and drinking ! - we've had some wonderful walks over the years, but this week was particularly bad weatherwise, so we appreciated all the facilities on hand....

Thanks for your review of The Loft. We're really sorry that you found the kitchen dirty. We visited the cottage recently with the Owner, and did point out a couple of areas for improvement. We were happy with the general cleanliness, although the kitchen units are of a more traditional design which has now dated a little. The Owner's longer term plans are to replace the kitchen in the next couple of years; due to the limited space available, it needs to be a bespoke handmade design and he's currently looking at options which will fit well with the cottage ambience.
