We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at Coachman’s Cottage. Thank you! The garden was beyond amazing - mature established trees, streams and ponds. Our favourite place was reading in a lovely sit spot next to a stream with insects buzzing on the plants around us. Inside all was comfy and spacious - with heat from the aga warming the whole house. Also six ducks trundling around in a line - routing in the undergrowth. The secret to seemingly having no slugs perhaps despite a lush garden?! Finally our hosts were nearby, very discreetly, for anything we needed. Idyllic!...

Exceeded expectations beautiful place to stay ..very clean and comfortable. The owners who live in main part of cottage very friendly and helpful, enjoyed hearing the history of the building. Ideal photo opportunities around the beautiful garden with good location to visit must see nearby places Padstow/Polzeath/Boscastle and Port Isaac. We will recommend a booking here to family and friends in a heartbeat....

This ideal idyll is for those of us looking for peace and quiet, not really suitable for young children although the countryside offers great exploring and walks.

Thank you for your wonderful review of your relaxing rural retreat. All ages can enjoy the charms of the countryside and are welcome at Coachman's Cottage although, as you point out, children need to be supervised around the streams and pond. We would love to welcome you back to stay again at this idyllic cottage. Sarah, Customer Support...
