We enjoyed our family holiday at The Granary. Set in a secluded hamlet, it was very peaceful with lots to see and do nearby. We visited a different beach every day with our 3 year old grandson in mostly dry weather!

The Granary is a very comfortable house in a very rural location. The farm buildings have been converted into 21 separate homes and only 4 are holiday lets meaning the rest are lived in all year round. It looks lovely and is perfect if you like your holidays to be very, very quiet. There is just no-one around apart from the odd resident making a trip to the bins. We were with a 6-year-old and felt a bit uncomfortable when she rode round the courtyard on her scooter - I think with more than one child it would have been very stressful to keep them quiet. Regarding the house, it’s quite tricky to get your head round the layout from the description as it is set across 3 floors with the kitchen and one bedroom being on the same level as the inner courtyard, the sitting room and a second bedroom one floor up with level access to the private garden and therefore BBQ, and the remaining bedrooms on the top floor. The small paved area in front of the kitchen gets the morning sun and we took to sitting out there although we were in full view of all the other properties. There was no sun in the rear garden so didn’t sit out there in the evening and to be honest couldn’t face traipsing up and down the stairs to do BBQs. It is a very nice house but you need to be aware of its layout and location and make sure it suits your family. ...

The Granary was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of eight. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking proper meals.
