A charming cottage in a lovely location - quiet and convenient.

Website was great, but it suggests a premium product. And it was not a premium feeling cottage, average at best. I even think that we are being very generous, the cleanliness would certainly put some people off completely.

IOW is a beautiful, unique rubbish free Island. Dairy Cottage is set in a very quiet area lovely if you want a peaceful get away. The farm offers a Lovely base.

This was a very well equipped cottage. Comfy sofa and chairs to sit on after a day site seeing. We were just 2 but the cottage could have been used by 4 people. The location was very quiet about 15 minutes drive to/from Yarmouth. This would be the ferry route that we would recommend Lymington to Yarmouth. Good for "dark sky viewing" if you are interested in the stars. Easy access to other routes although through country lanes. The south road of the island was well worth a drive. Very scenic with quite a number of stopping places along the road to stop and view the scenery. West Wight Alpacas are a mere 10 minute walk from the cottage - they were great to walk. The cafe on the Alpaca site offered a varied menu of meals and snacks. They had just started to do breakfasts on some days, which we tried out. A visit to Osbourne House is a "must". Great history, gardens and beach. Recommend becoming a member of English Heritage as Osbourne House, Carrisbrooke Castle and Yarmouth Castle are all part of EH. A lovely cottage and location and would definitely recommend....
