Portreath beach is only a few minutes' drive from the cottage.
Perranporth beach, a little further up the coast.
Porthtowan beach is also just a short drive from Kernel's Barn.
The secure bike store is very handy if you want to bring your own bikes with you, alternatively you can hire from the centre next door.

Kernel's barn is a lovely place to stay. The hosts could not be more welcoming, neither could the canine welcome from Lucy & co. The location on the coast to coast trail was perfect for us as cyclists. Being close to the north coast gave many opportunities for walking and enjoying the many eateries around at Portreath and Porthtowan. We highly recommend staying here, it has everything you could want for a relaxing stay and is wonderfully private whilst still being just off the beaten track. ...
