Along the coast, you’ll find Smoo Cave, a magnificent sea cave best explored by foot or boat. Cape Wrath is the most northerly point of the mainland and makes for a fantastic day out, with its dramatic vistas and fascinating geological features. Pay a visit to Balnakeil Craft village, where you can pick up some hand-crafted souvenirs and wander along the stunning stretch of Balnakeil beach. Oh, and if visiting a loch is on your holiday wish list, Loch Eriboll is nearby and well worth a visit. And with the North Coast 500 route starting (or ending!) in the village, this is certainly a fantastic spot for scenic day trips, too.
