Flora/fauna: Mossy, boggy beauty, snowdrops, crazy fungi, culm grassland, dragonflies, buzzards and
the odd sly fox
Bridges: 8 at the last count
Cafe/pub: Picnic it. Bring hip flask if cold, bottle of rosé if warm
Games en route: Tug ‘o’ war limbo
Oddities: BHC boulders (Bude Harbour and Canal Company)
Route: Lower Tamar Lake – Bude Aqueduct Trail – Virworthy Wharf – Cape Horn – Wooda Farm – Dexbeer Bridge – Moreton Mill – Broomhill Bridge – Brendon Bridge – Vealand – Burmsdon Aqueduct and Bridge
Bring as many people as you can and conga your way along the paths and mind your heads on low-lying branches - or higher ones if you've bagged a backie. Play Pooh sticks and beware the river dips that swallow your winning twig.
