Classic Cottages is delighted to be supporting the UK Wild Otter Trust.
Founded in 1998, and becoming a registered charity in 2016, UK Wild Otter Trust aims to rescue and rehabilitate injured or orphaned Eurasian otters, before releasing them back into the wild. Alongside this, the charity raises awareness of Otters and their habitats, assisting with conservation efforts and research.
Reliant on donations, and with the team being made up entirely of volunteers, we are really pleased to be able to support such a special charity. Our donation of £1,000 will help to build a cub hospital at their specialist Otter Rehabilitation Centre in North Devon.
David Webb, Founder and CEO of Wild Otter Trust, says: "As an organisation, we rely completely on kind donations and support, such as from Classic Cottages. This support is invaluable and enables us to continue our specialist work in helping, rehabilitating and releasing back into the wild. No one in our organisation takes any expenses or wages - we are all volunteers and we do it simply because we want to give something back. We will be putting this donation to good use in getting another cub hospital built soon. We thank Classic Cottages for their valued support in this project."
