Great food and in a quiet area. Friendly and efficient staff.
Discovering Britain have a great choice of walks including this one which starts from Rye railway station and takes in some wonderful local scenery around the towns of Rye and Winchelsea.
Rye is an utterly charming town, originally a medieval citadel with pretty cobbled streets lined with medieval half-timbered houses. You will find a delightful selection of independent shops and eateries, plus some wonderful historic houses including the 14th century Ypres Tower, now home to Rye Castle Museum and Lamb House once owned by the writer Henry James.
