For the loveliest rural escape nestled in the most beautiful south Devon countryside, let us introduce you to Stone Lodge. If you're searching for peace and tranquility, a remote location, yet somewhere ideally placed to explore and enjoy the hotspots and attractions of south Devon then this is perhaps the perfect spot, especially as you have a fabulous pub and restaurant just over one mile away from your doorstep.

The beautiful interiors of Stone Lodge perfectly complement your countryside location, offering grandeur, style, and comfort combined. The lodge enjoys reverse level living, so you'll step inside to be greeted by the most beautiful open plan living areas. Venturing down to the lower ground floor, you will find the three super inviting bedrooms. Bedroom one is a beautiful double room boasting a king-size bed, with an en suite shower-room, bedroom two is a charming double room, and bedroom three is a cute single room. You'll also find the family bathroom on this floor, which is fully equipped with a shower option too.

Head back upstairs to enjoy the lovely and light open plan living space. The sitting-area is ideal for relaxing in the evening or perhaps catching up with your favourite watch, courtesy of the EE streaming box that includes Netflix, Now TV, Sky Originals and free-to-air channels, on the large flatscreen TV. The kitchen and dining-area makes for a sociable space - the designated chef can rustle up a feast while everyone else gathers around the dining-table or central breakfast-bar. From here, you can head outside to the lovely garden area. This is an idyllic spot to enjoy your morning coffee or light the barbecue for an evening feast. Perfect for a spot of hide and seek, little ones will love playing in the sunshine and you can sit back and soak up the invigorating countryside air. What a dream…

Venturing further a field is a must, especially as you have so many hotspots, attractions, and sandy beaches to enjoy. If you are seeking a beach day, you are spoiled for choice; Bigbury-on-Sea, Thurlestone, Blackpool Sands and Broadsands beaches are all a pleasant car drive away. Your location is really quite special, surrounded by the most sought-after villages, towns, and cities. Whether it be a day sightseeing, shopping, or simply relaxing, Stone Lodge offers is all and much more.

Being so close to majestic Dartmoor National Park is also worth a mention. Under six miles away you will find yourself at the fringes of Dartmoor. This magnificent and vast expanse of countryside is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year. You can spend blissful days discovering the glorious moorland and admiring the tors - there are plenty of walking and cycling trails to choose from! And don't forget to visit some of the idyllic towns and villages nearby, including Widecombe-in-the-Moor and Ashburton, to name just a few.

If you're craving a day by the coast, Brixham and Dartmouth are both within easy reach. In Brixham you can stroll around the thriving seaside town, with its bustling harbour, boat trips and fantastic choice of places to eat. Dartmouth also has a number of wonderful eateries and independent shops and galleries to explore. The picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel is well worth a visit too, and here you can enjoy paddleboarding, scenic walks, crabbing and delicious meals in the exceptionally popular riverside bistro.

Heading off in the opposite direction, you will find the dreamy beaches at Bigbury-on-Sea, Thurlestone and Bantham to name a few. All offer something very special, from an array of watersports, crabbing and rockpooling, to simply sunbathing in the most picturesque settings.

For the shopaholics of the party, the eclectic market town of Totnes is right on your doorstep. Totnes is teeming with activity and things to see and take part in, including a medieval castle a short stroll away. Totnes, witnessing all it has to offer, is an attraction in itself. With several museums, art galleries, a community-owned cinema and a steam railway on your doorstep, there's never a dull moment in this fabulous town. Totnes offers a plethora of shops, boutiques and even a weekly market where numerous local traders flood the market square with stalls, supplying everything you could possibly imagine.

Further afield you have the cities of Plymouth and Exeter, both make for a good day out should you wish to indulge in a touch of retail therapy followed by a tasty bite to eat.
