Perhaps the most astounding views one would be lucky enough to experience on the Cornish coastline, this beautifully appointed cottage sits in an elevated position overlooking Gillan Creek, just south of the Helford River mouth, a location completely unspoilt and undisturbed. There is exceptional attention to detail inside and out, with a panoramic sun/snug room which gives unparalleled views of the sea and the sky, pioneering in the art of sublime escapism.

The kitchen/diner area is open plan and perfect for socialising with your loved ones. There is a big table for everyone to gather round for a holiday feast, complete of course with stunning sea views and French door access to one of the external seating areas where you can enjoy your meals in the fresh oceanic air.

Dawn and dusk here is completely captivating. You can watch the sun rise from the comfort of your stylish bedroom, whichever you choose - each offering a slightly different aspect, but all beautiful in their own right. Time runs away as you watch the streams of colour from the sun fade to oranges and pinks, and there is probably no better place to get a clear view of our Milky Way with no light pollution, for a magical experience that you will never forget.

There are gifts in every season in this very special place; in spring the garden comes alive with flora and fauna. In summer, the ocean reflects the blue skies, and the cove is not more than a five-minute walk down the valley from your doorstep. In autumn, kick through crunchy leaves but don't put your sandals away just yet, as the sheltered cove is the perfect place to swim and by local opinion, this is the best time of year to do so! During the cooler wintery months, retreat from the elements and watch commanding storms showcase the famous Cornish 'horizontal rain', turn to vibrant rainbows. Or perhaps curl up by the flickering flames of the log-burner on the big comfortable sofa, and you can still see the glimmer of the ocean!

Situated within a National Landscape, yet rural and secluded, you may never want to leave stunning Spinneywood. There are a family of resident squirrels and bunny rabbits that live amongst the foliage and come out when they think nobody is watching.

There is plenty of parking, but you may not use your car for the entirety of your stay! If you can peel yourself away from your lodgings, perhaps sample the local interest of 'trigging' from the unpolluted and pristine waters of the Helford - trigging is a simple process in which you gently rake the shore and pluck cockles or mussels (or any kind of shellfish) into a bucket. Traditionally locals cooked them by the river but nowadays people take their yield home then create and indulge in some Moules Mariniere, you can't get fresher than that!

Sailaway St Anthony is a wonderful small local business that has a fleet of boats that they can bring down to the water's edge at Flushing Cove and you can hop on and explore the creek and Helford River from the water, which is a must do. Gillan Creek is an Area of Conservation (AOC), and many different species of marine life are found here and it's a hot spot for snorkelling.

From wild swimming to walking, stargazing to sailing, to just relaxing and spending time with your loved ones, this remarkable cottage has been so lovingly and thoughtfully developed, resulting in a spectacular and true hideaway for those seeking something extra special.
