Zip and linkBrand new, sparkling and stylish where up to four lucky guests plus a baby can enjoy sublime escapism in this stunning example of a self-catering cottage by the sea. Sitting pretty in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Britain's most southerly point, semi-detached Heevara Cottage is close to iconic landmarks such as Bass Point, Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre and Kynance Cove. Perfect for couples, families or even for lone travellers seeking peace and tranquility. Discover warm sweeping sands and cool local ice cream in summer or treat yourself to a hot pasty after blowing away the cobwebs walking the rugged cliffs above the Atlantic.
Looking as though it has just glided off the pages of a glossy interior design magazine, this stunning seaside cottage has been thoughtfully developed into an elegant yet chic holiday bolthole with comfort at the forefront of design. You have a porch to kick off those sandy flip flops or your muddy walking boots before entering in to the warm, comfortable and beautifully appointed open living space.
A large, fabulous dining-table with two chairs and a bench seat are perfect for bringing back a chippy tea or for laying out a delicious breakfast spread to set you up for your day of discovery and adventure. There is a big squishy sofa complete with beautiful blankets to snuggle up under with a hot chocolate at the end of the day in front of the flickering flames of the log-burner, whilst watching TV or playing board games.
The kitchen is discreet, refined and innovative. You have everything you might need without compensating on space. Please note, the oven is a combination microwave/oven (smaller than usual). There is a slow cooker for creating beautiful bubbling stews to return to after a day on the coast.
Upstairs you will find two beautiful bedrooms, stylishly appointed and sympathetic to the 18th Century origins of the cottage. Bedroom one has a king-size bed, while the second bedroom houses two-foot six-inch twin beds which can be zipped together to make a king-size bed. Snuggle down into the luxury linen and get a restful night's sleep after relaxing in the full-size bath, getting ready for the delights of what tomorrow will bring.
Outside you have your own private area which is sheltered from the elements. Great for your morning coffee or a lazy afternoon soaking up the sun with an aperitif. On a clear day you can see the twinkling ocean whilst sitting at the bistro table. So therapeutic!
A fabulous and must-see destination, The Lizard peninsula is home to Kynance Cove, one of the most photographed beaches in the United Kingdom. Discover secret coves and urban legends, authentic serpentine shops and heritage pubs like The Witch Ball and The Top House. Ann's Pasties is in the heart of The Lizard and offers iconic pasties, bakes and ice cream during the day and becomes a trendy bar by summer evening. Local people drive from their towns and villages to enjoy fish and chips from Smugglers on The Lizard, you will find queues out the door during peak season but for good reason and very much worth the wait. Take your hot chips down to the point and watch the sun descend over the ocean. Bliss!
