Small double

Hidden away in the West Sussex countryside yet just two hours from London, this luxury shepherd's hut offers a magical escape for two.

Beautiful and handcrafted, it has all you need for a lovely break away. There is a cleverly designed queen-size (4') double bed that folds away making room for a table and seating area. The kitchen has all you need to whip up a feast and features an oven, hob and small integrated fridge. With under-floor heating this shepherd's hut is perfect at any time of year.

Outside is an outdoor dining pod with comfy seating and a fire-pit where you can toast marshmallows and sit back and escape away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Cala Lily (5289) is located round the corner from Douglas Fir but neither can be seen from the other. Both can be booked together (subject to availability) if you wish to holiday with family or friends. Also on site there is the sublime Little Oak Treehouse (5288), another unique retreat for two.

There is plenty to explore with some wonderful walks and cycle routes locally including the South Downs way, the Literacy Trail, Leith Hill, Chanctonbury Ring, the Downs Link, Pitch Hill and Cissbury Ring. The nearest beach is only 15 minutes away, although West Wittering is 40 minutes away and worth the drive!

Visit Goodwood, Petworth House and Gardens, Knepp Castle Estate which is great for walks and seeing the storks and other wildlife, the Woodland Trust and RSPB Pulborough Brooks nature reserve, Arundel Castle, Parham House and Gardens, Bramber Castle, Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre, Arundel Museum, Chichester, Bosham and The Weald and Downland Museum.

There are also many great pubs and restaurants nearby and the owners will be happy to recommend all to you prior to your arrival.

You are also centrally located between Guildford (40 minutes), Chichester (30 minutes), Brighton (30 minutes), Petworth (30 minutes) and London is only an hour away on the train. Being in such a rural spot having a car is a good idea as taxis are few and far between. The nearest train station is 12 minutes away and trains come from London every half an hour.
