Town End Barn is a perfectly placed cottage located within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Cumbria. Situated along a quiet country lane in the village of Colby in Cumbria, you can relax in this pretty cottage with its delightful living space and a beautiful large garden; this stylish cottage is perfect for families or a group of friends. Sitting within the picturesque Eden Valley and surrounded by beautiful countryside there is so much to do for everyone and dogs are very welcome too.
Town End Barn is perfect for guests who want a rural getaway and to escape the rush of everyday life. You will soon be surrounded by country air, birdsong and stunning landscapes. The cottage is beautifully presented and features an upside-down style. As you walk through the front door you may need to bend a little as the historic door is a little low and quirky. The contemporary Shaker-style kitchen and dining area is well-equipped and boasts a range cooker for the chef of the family to show off their culinary skills. The large farmhouse table with seating for six makes this a very social space, a door leads out to the front lawn (not enclosed). On the ground floor you will find an en suite bedroom with a double bed which looks out over the front garden and countryside beyond.
The gorgeous sitting-room is on the first floor to take advantage of the views over the garden which is situated a few steps over the car parking area. Sit in the viewing area with two chairs placed to enjoy the relaxation this room provides. Cosy up in front of the wood-burner and choose from a favourite film or read one of the many books on the well-stocked bookcase with an eclectic mix of books. The high ceilings and beams make this a really special space to share with friends and family. Wander down the corridor and you will find two bedrooms; one is a twin and is specially decorated for children with fun low beds and even a desk. A comfortable double overlooking the garden area will provide a relaxing place to rest after a day exploring.
The family bathroom has a stylish free-standing bath with shower over, soak in some bubbles with a decadent glass of bubbly and spoil yourself after a day in the fresh air.
A useful utility-room has an airer for any wet clothes, a washing machine and microwave. A useful room to store your muddy boots, coats and doggy accessories.
The lovely garden will draw you outside, with its lawns and borders the garden is a space for all the family with plenty of room for al fresco dining and family games.
