The Bothy is nestled in the delightful Dorset village of Broadwindsor, close to the pretty towns of Beaminster and Bridport. Broadwindsor is a pretty west Dorset village; with a local pub and community shop it's a great base to explore the local delights from. There are beautiful walks from the door and plenty of places to explore - what more would you want from a home away from home.
This rustic retreat has a lovely living space, a true heart of the home for everyone to relax in. The kitchen in well-equipped to make many memorable family meals. Originally an old coach house and hayloft, some traditional features remain. The sitting-room is spacious and has exposed floorboards, beams and an exposed stone wall. Also on the ground floor, just off the kitchen, is the first of three bedrooms, with a king-size bed, TV and an en suite shower-room.
The main family bedroom is accessed via a staircase from the kitchen; this is a beautiful, vaulted room with a super-king double bed and a single bed - perfect for children. There's also a handy en suite family bathroom.
A bespoke staircase from the sitting-room leads to the final bedroom, which also has a comfy king-size bed, TV and an en suite shower-room.
The Bothy has a private fenced garden with table and chairs for a spot of al fresco dining. You can also use the communal garden where there is an outdoor table-tennis table - balls and bats are available for your use. There is a charming little stream that runs through the communal garden however please ensure children are supervised at all times in this area.
Should you wish to holiday with friends or family but each enjoy privacy, you will also find Hursey Gate Stables (5227) at West Hill House, providing accommodation for up to 11 guests when booked together.
