An impressive and unique property with beams which date back to 1765 and cavernous vaulted ceilings which give the magnificent open plan living area such a feeling of space and light. The full height barn window bathes the room in sunlight and opens up views to the courtyard and fields beyond. A place to gather together by the flames of the wood-burner on chilly evenings or to snuggle up on the sofas and watch a favourite film on the large flat screen TV.
At the heart of the property is the beautifully spacious kitchen/dining area. This fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare tasty meals using local produce or even home-reared beef from the farm. If you don't feel like cooking, the host provides ready-made home-cooked and delicious meals for you to enjoy. Relax around the 12-seater farmhouse table to enjoy the cook's creations and make happy and long-lasting memories.
Above the living area is a superb galleried landing which leads to four individually decorated and relaxing bedrooms. Luxuriate in the spacious super-king bedroom which has an en suite with a bath and shower cubicle. Down the hallway there is a king-size bedroom, also with an en suite. There are a further two bedrooms on the first floor, one twin and one double, and a family bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. There are beautiful original beams in most of the bedrooms and views from most of the windows. There is a useful twin bedroom and separate WC on the ground floor.
Outside Mill House is a courtyard area with garden furniture overlooking the farm buildings and other cottages, dine al fresco and take in the tranquility of the location, to enjoy a barbecue head over to the shared lawned area, why not try some home-reared beef from the farm. Try out the outdoor rustic pizza hut, dough balls and pizza ingredients are available from the owner. Go and say hello to Bella the pet pig, Rhubarb and Revel the horses and the herd of cattle. Sit and enjoy the spectacle of the Birdforth Hall chickens and cockerel wandering free, the children will be fascinated.
Everyone will love the large indoor swimming pool which has specific allocated times for private use, or enjoy a game of pool in the games area, great for inclement weather days.
