Nestled in the heart of the vibrant surfing town of Newquay, Captain's Walk, which was once a pilchard store, is now a fabulous holiday home sleeping twelve lucky guests.
Step inside to discover your stylish retreat. The bright and airy open plan kitchen/diner is equipped with everything you may need for rustling up breakfasts or preparing picnics to take to the beach. There's also a separate dining-room which is a great spot to gather together for leisurely suppers after you've worked up an appetite exploring the north Cornwall coast. After dinner, make your way to the cosy sitting-room, with squishy sofas and a toasty wood-burner - perfect for those relaxing evenings in the autumn and winter months. You'll also find bedroom one on the ground floor, an oh so lovely room with a 'zip and link' bed - this can be a super-king or twins.
Head upstairs to take your pick from the other five beautiful bedrooms. Bedroom two is a king-size, bedroom three has bunk-beds (which the younger guests will love!), and bedroom four is a calming twin room. Bedroom five has a sumptuous king-size bed and a fabulous en suite shower-room and bedroom six is another twin room, with plenty of space and a stylish en-suite shower-room. All the bedrooms have been beautifully decorated, with crisp linens and lots of tasteful touches throughout.
The outside space is a such a treat. Leading off from the kitchen and dining-room, the lovely courtyard is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening tipple in the sunshine and most definitely has the "wow" factor. Here you'll also find a very handy outdoor shower for washing off sandy toes and salty wetsuits after a day at the beach.
You're in a truly fabulous location at Captain's Walk. Wander to the restaurants, shops and golden sandy beaches on your doorstep, and if you're looking for adventure, you're certainly in the right place. Hire surf boards and book surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and coasteering sessions at Newquay Activity Centre on Towan beach. Or you could simply sit back and enjoy the sunshine!
The coast path is sure to take your breath away. The scenery is nothing short of unforgettable, with its sparkling blue seas, clifftops and stretches of golden sand. There's plenty of choice for places to eat in Newquay, and we highly recommend heading to Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant for a sundowner.
If you're looking to explore a little further afield, Perranporth, Crantock and Watergate Bay are all in easy reach. The popular town of Padstow is a great choice for a day out, with its seaside shops, art galleries and pubs. And whilst you're there, why not hire a bike and cycle along the Camel Trail? The lovely village of St Agnes is also nearby, perfect for wandering around and trying out the fantastic selection of cafes and restaurants, before heading to beautiful Trevaunance Cove for a revitalising dip in the sea.
