Dawlish is a short journey away, a traditional seaside town with miles of golden sandy beach or perhaps Teignmouth, a pretty town with Georgian buildings and a great selection of places to dine. Across the estuary Shaldon is the prettiest of Devonshire villages and a lovely place to spend the day. Water sports enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to paddle board, kayak or surf.
For the walkers and explorers of the party, you have an abundance of walks and trails which surround you, and a short car journey will find you in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, which is a whole new world in its own right. Whether it's coast or moor, both are at your easy disposal.
