Zip and linkWelcome to Sandy Toes, a beautiful double-fronted Victorian town house situated in the fabulous seaside town of Bude on the magical north Cornwall coast. Sitting just 400 yards away from the golden sands of delightful Crooklets beach, Sandy Toes is a wonderful spot to soak up a refreshing dose of sea air and discover the beautiful surrounding scenery. This fantastic holiday home has been refurbished and styled to offer the warmest of welcomes and you will be sure to return year after year.
Step inside to discover a gorgeous, traditional house perfect for a family holiday. The sitting-room and the dining-room are both flooded with light thanks to the gorgeous, sash bay windows - one of the many original features. At the end of a fun-filled day at the beach, the sitting-room offers the ideal spot to sink into one of the comfy sofas and snuggle down for a cosy family film night. And as those autumnal nights roll in, the wood-burner is the perfect addition for warming your toes! Step into the lovely dining-room, where those all-important breakfasts and family dinners can be enjoyed around the grand dining-table, with yet another wood-burner for cosy evening meals. Both the sitting-room and the dining-room link through to the fabulous fully equipped kitchen, a spacious place to cook up a feast. And if you don't fancy cooking, it's just a short stroll to the pub or Bude town, which offers a great selection of dining options for every night of the holiday!
Climb the stairs to find the four beautifully designed bedrooms, each offering sumptuous beds and beautiful linens. The main bedroom offers an oasis of calm with a fabulous super-king size bed and en suite shower-room for that little bit of extra privacy. Bedrooms two and four are both 'zip and link' beds, so can be either a super-king or twins, you choose! And let's not forget delightful bedroom three, a blissfully calm twin room decorated in gorgeous coastal blues. Whilst you may not be able to see the sea, if you listen closely, you can hear the soothing sound of the crashing waves. Bliss!
The contemporary family bathroom is also located on this floor, with a simply lovely roll-top bath for a long, luxurious soak at the end of the day, and a handy separate shower cubicle for washing off sandy toes. You will also find a super swish wet-room on the ground floor, so there's a plentiful supply of bath/shower rooms to choose from. You certainly won't need to queue in the morning.
The charming back garden is a lovely spot to soak up the sunshine and enjoy sociable family barbecues in the evenings, or perhaps a peaceful ten minutes relaxing with a morning coffee before gathering the troops for another day of holiday fun. Please bear in mind that Sandy Toes' friendly neighbours' home runs alongside the garden with their upstairs windows overlooking the garden area.
To the front of the house, there is a gravelled private drive with parking for one car, and there is plenty of free parking on the road to the front of the house if you're bringing more than one car with you. You can easily access your holiday home via the road that runs along the front of the house.
Sandy Toes is located a short, leisurely stroll from the large sandy beaches at Crooklets and Summerleaze, with the wild swimming haven of Bude sea pool also nearby. Bude town is less than an eight minute walk away, where you will find a vast array of interesting shops, coffee houses, eateries, supermarkets and the Bude Canal Higher and Lower Wharf, where you can enjoy recreational activities. If you enjoy walking, the South West Coast Path is close by for discovering the miles of beautiful coastline and scenic countryside surrounding this beautiful area of Bude. And we can't forget the golf course! If you fancy venturing a little further afield, we recommend paying a visit to the pretty villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Tintagel, home of legendary King Arthur.
