Surrounded by the most breathtaking countryside and sprawling lawn, your perfectly positioned patio treats you to the most wonderful views, and the private and romantic setting makes dining al fresco the perfect way to end the day. Even your four-legged friends will be delighted with the expansive outside space at your disposal.
The nearby village of Chagford offers independent shops, numerous eateries, and some very charming and welcoming watering holes. The village also boasts a river-fed swimming pool and public tennis courts - great for both young and old.
Even in the midst of the summer chaos, this beautiful location guarantees peace and tranquility - a true relaxation paradise away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and with a pub within walking distance, what more could you want!
To ensure maximum enjoyment while staying at The Potting Shed, the super-friendly owners also live within the grounds, far enough away to ensure your complete privacy, however close enough to be at hand to help with any request no matter how big or small. You may also be greeted by their four-legged friends as they go about their day.
Walking and exploring in this fabulous location is a must. However, venturing slightly further afield you have the beautiful Cathedral City of Exeter. Only a short car journey will find you in the heart of this magical city. Exeter is a fabulous day out for both young and old; here you can explore 2000 years of history, with Roman walls, underground passages, the historic quayside and great shopping.
If you are feeling energetic the Exe Estuary Trail can be enjoyed on foot or by bicycle, a 26 mile flat route that links Exmouth, Exeter, and Dawlish, with some fabulous views along the way.
Okehampton has the remains of the largest medieval castle in Devon. Set within spectacular grounds, it is well worth a visit.
Not forgetting the true magic of your immediate location, which offers full accessibility to the fabulous Dartmoor and all the delights which await. Don your walking boots, prepare the dog(s) and head out over the moors, stopping in one of the pubs en route; sounds like the perfect day whatever the weather.
