KingWelcome to Moorhaven, a fabulously located retreat for those looking to enjoy the spoils of Dartmoor and surrounding areas. Nestled in the charming Devon hamlet of Wonson, with villages such as Throwleigh and Chagford within close proximity, this light, airy and welcoming cottage is perfect for really kicking back and enjoying all the delights of Dartmoor and west Devon.
After a day of exploration and adventure, returning to Moorhaven is the ideal way to bring the day to a close. You can either enjoy your fully enclosed garden with a glass of something tasty and a good book. Or simply snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove whilst planning tomorrow's adventures, the options are endless.
Semi-detached Moorhaven offers a beautiful rural location, parking for two medium-sized cars (up a sloped driveway), not forgetting the chance to bring your four-legged friends too. All this topped off by a welcoming and cosy interior, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy sitting-room with a glowing wood-burner and all bedrooms enjoying en suite facilities. What more could you want! The perfect Dartmoor experience awaits.
Walking and exploring in this fabulous location is a must. However, venturing slightly further afield will find you in the popular picturesque Dartmoor town of Chagford. Although compact in size, it is packed with amenities, attractions and things to do. Chagford is just three miles away and will treat you to several pubs, all offering a very warm Devon and Dartmoor welcome. You also have a wide range of shops and boutiques along with facilities such as public tennis courts and an open-air swimming pool at your disposal.
Should you wish to travel a little further afield you have the beautiful Cathedral City of Exeter a short car journey away (around 19 miles), this fabulous city offers a great day out should you fancy a touch of shopping followed by a spot of fine dining, you are truly spoilt for choice on both.
Okehampton has the remains of the largest, medieval castle in Devon. Set within spectacular grounds, it is well worth a visit.
Not forgetting the true magic of your immediate location, which offers full accessibility to the fabulous Dartmoor and all the delights which await. Don your walking boots, prepare the dog(s) and head out over the moors, stopping in one of the pubs en route; sounds like the perfect day whatever the weather.
