Zip and linkA truly charming semi-detached cottage set in tranquil countryside of the Helford; this sunny sheltered spot is the perfect place to relax and a fabulous base for exploring this pretty part of Cornwall. Rosemerryn Cottage has a footpath next to the cottage which leads down to sandy Maenporth Beach where you will find a fabulous sandy cove and beach cafe.
There is plenty of space to relax at the cottage, with your only neighbour being the owner who is in the next door cottage from time to time. The large sitting-room overlooks the pretty front garden and has a large wood-burner to snuggle down in front of with a good book and a glass of wine. Just a little step up takes you into the dining-area which is a perfect spot for planning the next adventure or of course eating a tasty meal. Three steps down lead you to the kitchen, which overlooks the private back garden, surrounded by trees with glimpses of the surrounding countryside. There is a handy utility-room which is perfect for wet swimming costumes or muddy dogs and boots and a separate WC on the ground floor. Upstairs, the bedroom has a super-king bed, so you can stretch out and relax while listening to the morning chorus; if you are lucky you might get brought breakfast in bed!
Although children aren't accepted, babes in arms under the age of six months are welcome.
Rosemerryn Cottage is set in the heart of the countryside but just over a mile away are the two lovely villages of Budock Water and Mawnan Smith, both with local pubs, restaurants and village shops. The banks of the Helford are a stone's throw away and wonderful to walk with many dog-friendly beaches for your four-legged friends. The maritime town of Falmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, where you can hop on a ferry to St Mawes or Trelissick Gardens or enjoy the boutique shops and independent eateries.
This little gem is just wonderful at any time of the year; enjoy wintery walks and cosy fires, or summer swims and balmy evening barbecues. With so much to enjoy we are sure you will want to enjoy this cottage all through the year.
